Your Journey to our moorings starts, at the "Old Ballast Pond" now known as Torpoint Yacht Harbour, where we will ferry you out to your vessel via our courtesy boat.The harbour is situated one mile from Plymouth Sound and the port of Plymouth. Steeped in nautical history and leading to one of the best cruising grounds in the British Isles. From Torpoint Yacht Harbour one can easily cruise south, eighty miles to the popular Channel Islands or travel a little further to the Brittany coast. An easy days sailing to the East are the ports of Brixam, Dartmouth and Salcombe and to the West the ancient towns of Fowey and Falmouth and beyond Falmouth and another day's sail West brings you to the magical Scilly Isles.

Beyond the outer harbour are laid 100 + swinging and trot moorings. Owners using this facility are able to use, FREE OF CHARGE, OUR COURTESY TAXI RIB BOAT TO GO TO AND FROM THEIR BOAT WITHOUT THE NEED FOR A DINGHY, which operates from 1st April to the end of October,  seven days a week, but can also store their dinghies safely at the harbour if they wish. Other facilities included are the same as our marina birth holder's facilities; toilets, showers, car parking, pick up water and 24 hour CCTV security at the harbour, which covers the majority of our moorings

Electricity and fresh water is available to all marina and quayside berth holders. Water supply is free and electricity is in the form of tokens. Toilet and shower facilities are available on site. The harbour office is manned 7 days a week and harbour security works 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Car parking is free to all customers and within the car park area is a public slipway.

Adjacent to the car parking area is the local friendly Mosquito Sailing Club who will make all yachtsmen very welcome.

Just a short distance from the harbour is Torpoint town center, offering supermarkets, restaurants, pubs and many other shops to meet your requirements. Torpoint is also easily linked to Plymouth city centre, which is only a short bus ride away.
